Overview

The Recruiter shall be responsible for full life-cycle recruiting process for high-volume/call center recruiting positions, and other requisitions as assigned.  This will include partnering with managers to identify needs, employing proactive and best-in-class sourcing techniques, directly participating in the assessment/interview/selection process, and assisting with transitioning selected candidates through the hire and onboarding processes. It is the responsibility of the Call Center Recruiter to ensure that the organization hires and retains a “best in class” workforce.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet weekly/monthly recruiting goals as prescribed by the Recruiting Manager and VP of Human Capital.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job/career opportunities within the organization.
  • Receives incoming resumes, applications, and telephone calls in response to open positions; reviews against set criteria for potential fit.
  • Successfully attracts candidates within a targeted market by creating appropriate and engaging online job descriptions for open positions.
  • Continually manages and monitors online job postings to create successful candidate pools
  • Partner with local colleges to recruit on campus regularly
  • Establish recruiting contacts with the community
  • Develop and maintain high visibility with potential local labor markets.
  • Evaluates candidates for referral to other positions including corporate and site positions.
  • Conducts online job board and/or Internet based searches for potential candidates.
  • Sources passive candidates through database resume and boolean searches
  • Conducts telephone screening interviews; evaluates candidates using identified process and criteria.
  • Schedules all appropriate candidates for the onsite interviews
  • Prepares appropriate on-boarding paperwork including offer letters and new hire paperwork.
  • Delivers appropriate responses for candidates that do not meet background requirements
  • Participates in the interview process when needed to select the best caliber of candidate
  • Provides coverage for recruiting efforts for all sites as requested
  • Assists with job fair/hiring event preparation and participates when necessary
  • Suggests new avenues, specific to their location, to increase applicant traffic
  • Maintain partnership with all levels of management to work on high volume openings
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality while supporting all levels of management.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
  • At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • May require travel Buffalo Grove and Rosemont locations as well as career fairs throughout the Chicagoland area

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Associates Degree and two (2) years of recruiting experience preferred. Two (2) plus years of full life-cycle recruiting experience in a high volume call center or customer service industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience in call center and/or student loan industry highly preferred.
  • Online sourcing experience required
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with Human Resources Information Systems or related systems such as applicant tracking software, report and tracking  programs and documentation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with applicant tracking systems, iCIMS preferred
  • General knowledge of various state and federal employment laws and practices
