The Policy Writer Manager is responsible for managing a team of Policy writers, ensuring that projects are completed timely and compliance standards are achieved through monitoring employee performance, providing ongoing training and development. The Manager is also responsible for the intake process of request for new and modified documents outlined in the Internal Documentation Policy. In addition, as the Manager, this position assists the Vice President of Compliance with responding to clients and regulatory offices with their request for copies of documented policies and procedures. The individual must also be able to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with various business leaders.


Job Details:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Weekly schedule will be the following:
    • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm


  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in department policies and procedures, staff training or performance issues, et
  • Manage a team of Policy writers; provide initial review of drafted Policys
  • Bring issues, concerns and escalations to the Vice President of Compliance
  • Sets daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the Policy writers
  • Review submitted request to modify policies, procedures and work instructions submitted by the Policy writer’s.
  • Make sure that the Policy writers are following the Internal Documentation Policy for policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Review external audit findings, identify deficiencies with the policies, procedures and work instructions and make recommended changes
  • Work with VP of Compliance to supply clients and regulatory offices with the required documentation.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise policy and procedure documentation to promote compliance with company, client, and legal requirements
  • Review policies and procedures for accuracy and make recommendation for adjustments based on client and company workflows and regulatory changes
  • Monitor compliance with policies, procedures and working instructions by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices and documentation
  • Manage a team of Policy writers; provide initial review of drafted polici Bring issues, concerns and escalations to the Vice President of Compliance
  • Conduct interviews on all candidates applying for Policy writers
  • Create training materials for all duties and responsibilities of the Policy writers
  • Create key performance indicators and benchmarks for the policy writers
  • Maintain knowledge of all Ceannate Corporation and client-specific security requirements as well as all laws and regulations pertaining to debt collection including but not limited to FDCPA, FERPA, Privacy Act, GLBA, EFTA, ECOA, DODD Frank, FCRA, and pertinent state and Federal laws.
  • Ensure all departments are follow the Internal Documentation Policy.
  • Participate in professional development initiatives to develop and maintain industry and regulatory knowledge
  • Perform other duties as required

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five to seven years in a management role with general knowledge of call center compliance experience preferred
  • Minimum of three to five years experience as a policy or technical writer
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word


Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
